Before the move, Beckett was going to school 3 times a week, 3 hours a day, less than a mile from our house. His new school, fantastic as it is, is only twice a week, 2 hours a day, and it's 15 miles from home. It's been tough. I don't even bother to trek home, let alone delve into any projects. Instead I've been spending my time at the local (excellent) thrift store. Dangerous and awesome. I'm hoping to do some alterations/ refashions to share with you all while I set up the new apartment for full blown sewing. I just have to carve out the time!
Hey there, from Norway here;-) I realy loved your ski-knit-wear sweater, for your ski.trip! Hard to find anything as nice as that around here;-) Good work on you moving, it must be hard with the long trip to school. I know how you feel about not having time to be creativ. All day long, and night, I have this great ideas on things I want to sew and make, but I am happy if I get the hose "in order", and turned the laundery before the big kids (3&5) tumbel home from kindergarden... But I guess I´m lucky to be at home for a year with the twins... so long, hope you get more time for your projects!!!!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I love second-hand stores too! Just loooove them, soon there will be flee marked season here too! Hurray!!
